With more people relying on their mobile devices to stay connected with family, business and friends, you would expect to see some new and exciting features being developed for the latest mobile technology trends. The Android Market is fast outstripping the iOS platform in terms of its market share, and there are many more third-party apps to choose from. As well, developers have begun to offer native applications for Windows, Symbian and other mobile platforms, allowing mobile devices to run Windows software. While there are still many developers that focus only on iOS, it seems that Android is growing faster in terms of user adoption. One of the most anticipated mobile technology trends to come in at the end of the year is augmented reality. 

This is when real-world objects are superimposed over digital images, such as in image search applications. Augmented reality allows users to see virtual items in 3D and with the help of the right equipment users can even have items appear in real life. Google has been heavily involved in this development with the acquisition of MetaTrader, an augmented reality company. Another one of the major mobile technology trends to watch in the next few years is the introduction of smart phones with video capabilities. 

Many high-end smartphones will incorporate some sort of internal camera or camcorder into them. Users may be able to view images through the LCD on their smartphone or they may be able to view videos on their phone's screen. Video capabilities could even extend to the future with Project Tango, a mobile operating system that allows phones to capture moving images and videos and then use them in augmented reality applications. Another trend to watch is screen mirroring. Users may be able to see what is on their own phone through another device, such as a tablet. Other mobile technology trends to keep an eye on include applications that let users surf the web on their devices. 

There are many companies currently developing apps that will allow this to happen. One such app is called Web Flow and it will allow people to browse the internet via their smartphones. Another upcoming application called Latitude will allow users to browse the web on their mobile phones with the display of their smart phone screen. These types of applications will become quite popular in a few years. They will replace the need for webcams and other similar technologies. Mobile computing devices will also be making use of virtual reality and augmented reality technology. 

Augmented reality refers to using digital information to help people find things. In addition to using digital information to aid people in finding things, the use of virtual reality lets users see what it would be like to actually walk through a location. This is just one of the mobile technology trends to watch in the coming years. It is very important to keep up with these mobile technology trends in order to be successful in the next year and beyond. Trends can change in the next year, but experts are noticing that many things stay the same. 

The only way to be able to see something change in the coming year is to follow along with all of the trends that experts predict for the coming year. By doing this, you can be prepared and you will be able to make the most of any changes.
